If you ever make improvements to your music notation, then we ask you to exchange the published files yourself. The consequence will be that all users who have already downloaded the work will be notified. They will then be notified that there have been changes.
This is how the exchange of files works:
1) On the page of the corresponding composition, click on "change".
2) Click on the pencil symbol next to the file format you want to replace.
3) Select the new file in the same format from your file system and confirm with "Open".
4) Repeat this procedure for all file formats! The other formats are not updated automatically.
5) Save these changes.
Afterwards you will find a "Versions" link in the public part of your files. Only you will see the old version of your publication, everybody else will see the replaced version.
Attention: If you want to exchange a file that was saved in an older file format, for example if you want to replace a .cap file with a more modern .capx file, then unfortunately this will not work. In this case please put the .capx file in the file box, write to the Musicalion admin and request the manual deletion of the old .cap file.
Note: It might happen that you will still be shown the "old" files after the exchange. This is most likely because your browser has "remembered" the old files and then no longer downloads the new versions but again only presents the already downloaded old version. Try to clear the cache with Ctrl-F5 or open Musicalion again in "incognito mode" of the browser which basically does not keep a "memory". You can also open Musicalion with another browser (e.g. with Edge instead of Chrome etc.).
